The LE40C530 Review

The LE40C530 Review

Review 1

Purchased this TV without the support of my husband who is a complete technology and review reading freak. He initially wanted to find a 100HZ model but as it cost about £600 and funds were tight after xmas, opted just to take a chance on this one at £360.Great size but you do need sufficient distance from the seating area in order to fully appreciate the picture. Initial setup was easy for me and once my husband came and changed the standard HD cables from our sky box and DVD to THAT cable branded stuff, the picture was fantastic. We had been watching a cheap German brand 32 inch model which gave up after 5 years. Usual Samsung build quality and the remote is more than adequate. Fine tuning of the picture settings was well worth the effort. Scour the internet reviews and tests to get the best settings then tweak them for your own room. Our DVD collection has a new lease of life although it’s not full on 200 Hz Picture or in 3D, I cannot fault the value of this television. No dead pixels found after about 35 hours use. All the connections I will ever need for the next 5-6 years, by which time; who knows what the standard TV will be. Exceptional service from Amazon and the courier even called at our house on his return home after leaving a while you where out notice.

This Samsung TV is just toooooooooooo good; I wish I had bought this ages ago.
Everything about it is just too good, picture, sound, colour, quality etc.
The picture quality is amazing even without the HD box.
If you are looking for a TV, then trust me, this is the one

Having decided to buy a bigger TV, I liked the look of the Samsung LE40C530 40in and started trolling through all the reviews. I soon decided, judging by so many positive comments that for £365.50 at that time, this was the TV for me and ordered it in mid January 2011. It was delivered within three days. I followed the simple on-screen instructions for initial tuning, had no problems connecting to my Blu-ray player, amplifier, or to my cable box. Needless to say I'm delighted with this TV.

One small observation you may find helpful, if it's not too obvious; a couple of purchasers wrote that they had difficulty fixing the base as the TV is large and bulky. As I intended putting it in a large bedroom, I simply laid the TV face down on the bed to protect the screen, then had no problem fitting the base. If it's going in your lounge, then maybe laying it on the sofa will offer the best protection as you also fit the base.

This TV is brilliant for the price, I originally bought the LG LD450 (same price bracket) because of all the good reviews (didn’t buy from Amazon)but returned it as I was very disappointed with the picture quality so I bought the Samsung le40c530 instead ,there is no comparison, this TV has a great picture HD and SD channels, I totally recommend it, very happy now

I had searched many of the TV before buying this TV and its worth the price.

The picture quality is great and having 3 hdmi is perfect for my Xbox, cable tv and personal laptop to connect.

Highly recommended.

The TV has an excellent picture even without a HD box. It looks great on the wall and bigger than i expected. I bought mine for a really good price and i had no problems with the seller. Would defiantly recommend.

I upgraded from an old cathode-ray type Sony TV, which had an excellent picture, apart from missing the sides of the broadcast program to this 40" LCD HD-TV, which is fantastic. It was extremely straightforward to set-up; it is easy to navigate through and the Eco-Solution picture mode is a great idea. The quality of the picture is amazing, particularly with the HD channels. No complaints so far, and the price and delivery from Amazon were also without fault. It is a Which Best-Buy model by the way.
