After looking at various TVs to replace my ageing 32″ LG I settled for this Samsung 40″ after reading the good reviews and I wasn’t disappointed.
Right out of the box you can tell that the unit is nicely designed and built. I got it hung on the wall and plugged up quickly and ran through the easy to follow set up procedure.
Picture quality is really good considering the scare stories you hear about larger TV sets and SD pictures. The built in noise filter works well with most modern SD programs. Indeed, a few times I’ve had to see whether I’m using a HD signal or not. Give it a full HD signal and the result is spectacular. Crisp vivid images with nice black tones without endlessly fiddling with the many picture options. I haven’t changed much from the default and I’m very happy with the result.
Considering the small downward firing speakers audio is very good. Wide sound with lots of detail.
I can’t recommend this TV enough. The price is a steal.
