The Samsung LE40C530 Review

I have been using this TV set for over two months now. I would say this is the best value for your hard earned money. TV is full HD and the cheapest deal you could find. I initially placed this order with Currys and they created such a fuss with the delivery issues and i had to cancel and place order with Amazon. TV came in two days. Highly recommended if u want a big screen TV and quality picture.

When my previous Humax LCD TV went on the blink I ordered the Samsung for price and the good reviews. I received the TV a couple of weeks ago and was simple to set up, though I strongly advise using two people to get it on the stand which is not quite as flimsy as some have made out. The picture quality is very good, even without HD. The remote is clear and easy to use. The USB connection works well, and has a fairly simple menu, though do not use a USB hub as it affects the signal. When Blu-Ray came out I started to copy my hundreds of DVDs onto a large remote hard drive in case dvd players went the way of 8-track and betamax, the upshot is that I can now select and watch movies just using my remote - the file to access in the folder is Video_TS.vob - that's the file your dvd player selects when you insert the disk. The only slightly annoying aspect of watching DVD files through the usb is that there are a couple of seconds of black when the TV goes from one *.vob file to the nexts, this obviously does not happen when playing a continuous avi file. To be honest, though, it is no more bother than those tv series dvds where they leave gaps for adverts to go.
I can't play my mp3 music even though I ripped them from my own CDs, something to do with certification so I suppose it will play legally dowloaded files. I have other machines to play my music on anyway so not a problem for me.
The sound quality is reasonably good, like most tvs really. I do not use the freeview as I have Sky so cannot comment. All-in-all I am very happy with this TV, and recommend it, the Amazon price is good too, better than other outlets for it.

This tv is amazing, it replaced a small box tv in my bedroom, i sit only about 1 and a half meters from it and the picture is crystal clear and the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom right corner are incredible! I read a few reviews before i bought it and im glad i did, buy the tv its great. Also i chose standard delivery 3-5 days but it actually arrived in 2 days! The picture quality is amazing, the sound quality is amazing and it looks amazing. The only slight complaint is that the power cable from the tv to the plug is not that long so if your putting i on a wall watch out. BUY IT!

I purchased this tv after a lot of research as I found it very confusing as there is so much choice now. True it does not have all of the features of some of the more expensive TVs but I felt it was very good value. The picture is excellent ( I have it connected to a SKY HD box) and I find the sound good.

It was reasonably easy to set up ( I did it myself with just a little help to lift the TV onto the stand). I have not tried all of the features yet and probably will not need most of them. If you just want a good TV with a very good picture and sound I would recommend this.

The delivery was on the day expected, first thing in the morning- well done Amazon.
